I think 6 or 8 is a nice balance between feeling "real-time" and feeling like time has actually passed. Has anyone ever created or thought about creating a mod for Fallout and/or Fallout 2 that would allow real-time combat like in Fallout Tactics or as used in the PC Baldur's Gate games If there is one, can someone please post the web site where I could find it. With that said, I do still decrease the timescale to something like 6 or 8, because I think that the default (which is like 20 I believe) is a little too fast. Time is relative, and walking down a road and have time feel like it flies by adds to the experience, I feel.
However, I don't recommend it, as, at least in Skyrim, it can break your game a bit by breaking NPC schedules, so you might have instances where NPCs are just standing there forever waiting for an hour to pass so they can do whatever they're supposed to do next on their schedule (like going to sleep, or sitting in X chair etc).Īlso for me personally, it kinda makes the world less "immersive" because you're getting to places all around the map in minutes, this happened to me with Fallout New Vegas, where it felt ridiculous that I got so far into the game and explored so much of the map in like 2 days.
